I’ve never liked public speaking. In school I would be ‘ill’ on says where I knew we had to do presentations. I was painfully shy in school and wouldn’t even smile at anybody. I think it mainly had a lot to do with my weight because I was forty pounds heavier than I am now. That and the fact that I didn’t have a lot of friends. I got a little bit better at it when I got to college. I did a performing arts course and it really brought me out of myself and we were such a close group that no one would have laughed at you if you made a mistake and were nervous about it. Acting in front of a big group every day really helps you not care about people think about you. I really need to get back into acting again. I miss it a lot. Anyway, I can probably say that when I was at school it was a public speaking anxiety but now, I just don’t like it. I would do it if I had to and I would be as nervous as hell but I’d do it and I’d feel great once I’d finished. I think when you get older, you realise that things aren’t as bad as they seem and if people want to laugh at you and make you feel like crap, then they’re just totally not worth your time or effort.

Have you seen those walk in tubs that you can get when you get to that certain age? I think they’re great. I wouldn’t mind having one now. A proper seat in the bath and a door so you just walk into it rather having to climb in and try not to fall? That sounds like a great idea. I could try and convince my nana and grandad to get one just so I could use but they had a big double shower installed quite a few years ago with a seat in so they didn’t have to use the bath. I’ll just have to wait until I’m old enough to qualify to get one I guess!

Wow, I’ve not posted here for ages! I haven’t been blogging much at all recently, I just find it hard to blog when I have nothing interesting to say but I’m trying to think of topics to blog about and its slowly coming back to me. I’ve not really been up to much. Had a couple of nights out, attended a friend’s funeral on Friday and I’ve had two family birthdays over the last two weeks. The weather has been up and down recently but we had a lovely day and Alex volunteered to do my garden for me. It looks so nice now, he did all the edges around the lawn so all my paths are really clear now. It rained again over night so I don’t think we will be out there today but at least we had a nice day outside yesterday. I think I caught a little bit of sun because my arms were quite itchy last night. I must remember to wear suncream next time. I’d love to get a swing sets for Meghan to play with and Emelye, when she comes round. I had one when we first moved into the house where my parents live now and I loved it. I remember my uncle Joe putting it up and I was trying to figure out what it was but couldn’t work out what it was! I kept thinking it was a chair because of the swing seat. I’ll have to look into getting one next year when I’ve hopefully got a job.
