Making Life Easier

Completely Random

Nearly everyone I know who drives has some form of GPS system in their car. Three people I know bought their partners one for Christmas last year. I do think they are good and they make things a lot easier for yourself but whatever happened to reading a map? I used to love sitting in the front of the car with my mum or dad, a map on my lap, following where we were going. We used to chart out our journey on a piece of paper before we left and I would guide them to where ever we were going. I have always been good at map reading from an early age and I still love it now. I have a great memory and once I have been somewhere once, I know exactly where I need to go the next time even if its months away. I will probably end up with a GPS system when I drive but it won’t stop me using maps.

Not Another One

Health

If I didn’t need the extra cash as much as I do, I wouldn’t bother blogging again about weight loss pills. Seriously, there is nothing more I can write about them. Some of them work and some of them don’t. They’re totally not for me and I would rather do it the proper way and feel like I have achieved something rather than just sit there taking pills. I got a whole new fitness program done today at the gym by one of the instructors and I can’t wait to try it out tomorrow. Its completely different than what I have been doing up to now and I know I will see a difference in the next month. Hopefully I might actually have that bikini body by the time I go away in five weeks. I’m also doing quite well on my diet too so keep your fingers crossed!

Loving It

General

I have been going to the gym for around a month now. I have had quite a few off days with being ill or in pain with my tooth but I’m back on track again now and I’m loving it. I usually just go on the bike to warm up for around fifteen minutes and then spend between 15-20 minutes on the treadmill. I started doing weights about a week ago too since I had been neglecting it a bit. Mainly because I was always missing the early bus and never had time once I’d finished with the cardio. One piece of equipment that I love but that I never find time to use it the elliptical trainer. I’ve only used it once and it was just a quick ten minutes before I had to pick Meghan up. I’m going back again on Tuesday and I think I might cut down my time on the bike so I have time to go on it before I start lifting weights.

Not Long To Go

Holidays

Its just under six weeks until our holiday to Spain. I’m really excited about it and also nervous – with the flight – and I really have so much to do before we go! I’m trying to buy bits and peices for the holiday every week like clothes, toiletries, sun cream and other little items that we will need. We also need to get some money changed to Euro’s and travellers cheques to take with us. One thing we don’t have to worry about is the travel insurance. We booked that along with the holiday through the travel agent. I probably would have gone with booking some travel insurance online if I hadn’t have done it straight away. I buy pretty much everything else online so that would have been the first place I would have looked!

The Great Thing About Not Being A Homeowner

Completely Random

There are many upsides to not being a homeowner. You don’t need building insurance because if anything goes wrong with the house, you just phone the landlord and he/she sorts it out for you. You don’t need to worry about missing any mortgage payments because if you suddenly can’t afford the house, you just move to something cheaper and smaller without having the hassle of selling the house. The one I love the best is the fact that when you have people calling you or at your door asking if you want your garden doing, tree’s cut down, fence installation, new windows etc, you can get them to leave pretty much immediately just by saying, “Its not my decision, I’m just the tenant.” They leave! No questions asked, they just go! Its nice to be able to get rid of sales people that easily. I have a hard time saying no most of the time, even if I’m really not interested and I couldn’t care less if you get 5 free when you purchase 1. If I didn’t want just the one, why would I want five?

Career Hunting

On a Serious Note, Work

Most people job hunt; right now, I’m currently career hunting. With Britain’s economy being pretty much in the bin and company after company handing out redundancies, I have decided that this isn’t the best time to be thinking about university. Its too costly and it doesn’t guarantee me a job when I leave even if I do have a degree behind me. Last night I was looking around online for jobs that would give me a life long career and I think I may have found something. Yes, photography still is my main goal in life but if it happens then great, but if not then at least I still have it as a hobby and I can always do the odd show and wedding to keep me active with it. I’m not going to mention what the job was because I need to do a lot of research on it yet and I’m also waiting for a reply about some information I asked for. I just don’t want to be stuck in a say, jobs in logistics because thats the kind of job that I’ll constantly be switching companies and I just want to settle down into one company and not have to move until I choose to. I’m hoping this works out but I might change my mind yet. Here’s to hoping.

On Vacation

Holidays

Most people will now to be thinking about where they are going on vacation this year. Whether they are escaping to somewhere hot where they can relax or going on a extreme sports holiday somewhere cold. You all know I’m off to Spain just before Easter and I really can’t wait to get out of this damn country. Do you know we’ve had two snow days in three this week? And do you know how rare that is in my part of the UK? Very. Most of the time I would be really excited about snow and be loving it but this year I just can’t be bothered with it. I have things to do and places to go, all of which takes me twice as long in this weather. Plus it doesn’t help that my heating went this afternoon so now I’m stuck in a cold house while its around 0C outside until tomorrow. I’m going to the gym early tomorrow just so I can get out earlier and get a shower! Anyway, there are loads of options when it comes to places to vacation and the Anaheim California hotel looks like a great place to stay. I really want to go to Australia in the next couple of years but I’m just scared that I won’t come home again!

A Huge TV

Shopping

I’ve wanted a new TV for a while now. The TV we have is great and there’s not really anything wrong with it but its just so big. Its not a flat screen so it takes up so much space just because of the length of it. I’m quite surprised how inexpensive flat screen HDTV‘s are. If I actually had any money I would probably get myself a new one. My sister has a 32″ flat screen HDTV in her bedroom and it looks amazing. Our TV in the living isn’t much bigger than 32″ (I’m not too sure how big it is) but I’d love a TV like her’s in my bedroom.

God this post is terrible. I’m totally out of practice with blogging but I need some quick cash. I apologise in advance for the following crap posts.
