Shoes!

Shopping

Since Sex and the City I have always wanted a pair of Manolo Blahnik’s or Jimmy Choo’s. Really just so I can say I have got a pair. I have no sexy shoes at all mainly because I don’t like to wear heels as I’m taller than Alex as it is. There is one of those shops in London, I’m not sure which one and Amy wanted to go and buy a pair while we were down there. As much as I’d love some, I just couldn’t part with £300 just for one pair of shoes. I would rather buy 10 pairs of Vans! Maybe I’ll treat myself one day but I would definitely save them for special occasions.

Identification

General

I have been meaning to get some form of identification for a while now. I’m 22 and I don’t have any form of ID. The only thing I have is my birth certificate but like everyone knows, that’s worth nothing when your trying to get into a club or be served for alcohol at a shop. Now, in the UK, you have to look 25 to be served for alcohol in a shop even though the legal age is 18. If you look under 25 they will ask to see your ID. Amy is getting her passport renewed soon as she’s going to need it for a gig we’re going to in September and then again for London. I really want to get my provisional drivers license sorted both for the ID and so I can actually start learning to drive. Every month I say I’m going to buy it and I just don’t. I think next month I’m going to have to. I’m sick of not getting in places because I look younger than what I am.

I’ll Get One Some Day

General

When I have nothing to do online, I usually find myself looking on ebay at the VW vans. I have always wanted one and I still do. Me and Alex talk about getting one, doing it up and travelling the country in it when the kids have grown up. I like looking at all the different car parts you can get with it like the beds and TV’s. You can really make it look like a little home. Like I said, I’ll get one some day. I need to pass my driving test first!

Working, Maybe?

Health, Work

I forgot to mention that I have applied for a job too. If we want this house, its going to really help that I work too. I found a job that is weekends – Saturday 9AM-6PM and Sunday 9AM-5.30PM. I still haven’t heard anything back about it but I’m hoping I hear something by early next week. The start date is 23rd August so I’m guessing if I don’t hear anything by next week then I haven’t got it. I’m looking every day for other jobs though so I’m not just relying on this one. There’s not many other jobs about though – scrap that, there are NO other jobs about. Seriously, its pathetic. I’m starting Avon today though which even though it won’t be a lot of money every month, it’s a start. If I can contribute to pay the electric bill then that’s something Alex doesn’t have to pay for.

On another note: Alex has a bad back. He’s had it ever since I’ve known him. I remember him doing a days work painting brand new builds in St. Helens and he came home and couldn’t move. His back was that stiff. I look online every now and again for new massage techniques, anything to help his back feel a little bit better. While looking for techniques I found a link to massage therapy schools. I’d like to do a message course in the future. Just so I know a little bit more really.

Moving?

House

I’m not going into it too much because I wrote about it earlier on my other blog but we went to view a house that is going up for rent soon and we are in love with it. It is more expensive than the house we are in now but its a lot bigger and definitely worth the extra money. Its not a definite that we get it but I’m just keeping my fingers very tightly crossed because I really, really want it. We’ll be in it by October at the latest if we do get it. I’m trying not to get it excited but its quite hard.

I honestly can’t think of anything new to write about diet pill reviews. Please give me something new to blog about?

At Last

General

I’m currently researching types of depression for a little project I have going on. I don’t really want to go into it incase it upsets the flow of things but I’m hoping to complete it. And if I do, I will let you know. Its something I have been meaning and wanting to do for a long, long time and I think I’ve finally found out how I can do it. Its not something thats going to happen over night though but watch this space :) .

Medical ID

Sponsored

Universal Medical ID have recently expanded their services to the UK. They are a company that sell medical id jewellery. They offer features such as personalized engraving and sizing, online medical registry, a wide range of styles and free engraving warranty. Their website lists on going medical conditions and drug and food allergies that qualify for people to wear a medical ID. As most of you know, Meghan is allergic to fish and although it isn’t a very strong allergy, it still makes her very sick if she eats fish. Universal Medical ID make jewellery to fit children which is great as most food allergies are only around in childhood. Their website has an easy to build ID page where you can pick various metals, chain styles, clasps, charms and more. It’s definitely something worth thinking about if you have medical condition or allergy that could be life threatening.

I’m Off To London!

General

Myself and my sister Amy were supposed to be going to the Leeds Festival in August. We’ve said we were going since about May but there has been a bit of change of plan. We’re not gooing to have the money in time to be able to go so we have decided to go to London overnight at the beginning of September instead. I am quite upset that I won’t be going to Leeds as there are loads of bands that I really want to see. I have always wanted to go to London though so I’m really excited. I don’t know how I’m going to wait seven weeks though! I want to go now!

Meeting An Online Friend

General, Meghan

On Saturday, myself and Meghan are taking a trip to Liverpool to meet up with Bekki. I have known her online for over two years now and I have always wanted to meet up with her. What made me finally ask her is that she’s off to New Zealand for a year in September so I thought I’d better take my chance while I can. I’m so excited, I can’t tell you. I spoke to her on the phone today and made an arse out of myself. I hope she’s not regretting saying she’ll meet up now! We’re pretty much just going to go shopping. I’ve bought some reins for Meghan today as I was a bit concerned about her walking around Liverpool on a Saturday afternoon. She tends to run off a lot and doesn’t want to listen when I tell her which way too go. Plus you won’t believe how many things she runs into because she’s not watching where she is going. There’s no way she’s going to want to stay sat in her pram for around five hours and I don’t blame her to be honest. At least now with the reins, she can walk around for as long as she wants and I can keep hold of her. I know people say they are cruel but if I’m cruel keeping my daughter safe then so be it. Anyway, as well as meeting Bekki I’m looking forward to going to Quiggins as I haven’t been for almost a year. I really could do with a new jacket (as much as I love my black and green one, I wear it way too much) and I know I’ll find one there. Yay! I’m excited!

By the way, how many different ways can I talk about diet pills? Seriously this must be about the fifth time I have been given that link and I just don’t know what to say about them anymore.

Getting Worse

Health

Alex ended up at the emergency doctors around midnight on Sunday night/Monday morning. His asthma is getting worse and worse. For the past week, he’s been using his inhaler around four times a day because he’s not been able to breath properly. Its usually at night that it gets worse. I’ve been woken up several times by him sitting up in bed because he can’t get a full breath. I though after we took the carpet up in the bedroom that things would get better. It was a really old carpet (at least 20 years) and was obviously just harboring dust. I was thinking of getting an air purifier to put in our bedroom. There are one’s by Blueair who do something like what I was thinking about. I think its going to be something we are going to invest in sooner or later. He can’t carry on the way he is.
