Still Not Finished

General, House, Meghan, Shopping

I know its One Word Blog Day but I have too much I want to say and if I don’t do it now then I won’t remember for tomorrow.

If you’ve taken a look at my list you’ll see that I’ve not actually done a lot. Everything that I’ve crossed off, I’ve done this afternoon while my mum had Meghan. All that took me a good two hours so I think I’ll try and get some more done tomorrow while Alex is off work. At least I got the bathroom done and I managed to do almost all of the bedroom. The only thing I didn’t do was move the room round but that was only because I couldn’t figure out where I wanted everything. Alex said he’ll have a look when he gets home and see where we can put things. The amount of times we change our bedroom round, we don’t really have anywhere different to put things! I don’t mind where everything is now but Alex wants to have a change round.

Yesterday I went to town with my mum and Meghan. Amy did come with us but she went and met her friend as soon as we got there. From Thursday until tomorrow there is a continental market in the middle of town. Basically there are loads of different stalls, most of them selling food, from Europe. They had a Spanish paella stand which looked so yummy. They had a stall selling home made olive bread and fresh marinated olives. I planned on getting loads of food after we got our lunch but the actual lunch put me off. We went to 15 Cairo and if you read my blog, you’ll know I go in there a lot. They do lunch for £5 during the week – its either pizza, salad or a sandwich – and since my mum hasn’t been there before, I suggested we go there. I have never had a worse meal in my life. We all ordered pizza and every time I have had pizza there its been really nice. We were waiting 40 minutes for it because the pizza oven was broken so they had to go in the regular oven. We got free drinks because of the wait which I thought was nice. When the pizza finally came, they were rock hard. We couldn’t cut into the base never mind eat in. Meghan didn’t even manage one slice because she kept choking on it – she only has 12 teeth and it was difficult for myself and my mum to eat never mind her. On top of that, the service was so slow. Seriously. We must have been sat there for ten minutes with the food in front of us before someone came to take it away. By the time we left, I was frustrated and I’d had enough. I didn’t want to have to pay for Meghan’s because she barely ate any (by no fault of her own) but I didn’t want to kick up a fuss. I’d already complained that I couldn’t eat it but the waitress didn’t seem all that bothered. I won’t be going there for a long while. At least not for food. Like I said, once I’d come out there I just wanted to go home so I wasn’t interested in the food at the market at all. I just wish we’d have gotten Meghan something and got myself and mum some paella. I’d really like to go back tomorrow before it leaves but I don’t think I’ll be able to to. I hope it comes back again this year if not next year.

I did have an Oreo milkshake from the new milkshake place in town called the Shake Shack. It was really nice. They have some strange milkshakes on their menu though – Farley’s Rusks, Sugar Puffs. Who wants that in a milkshake?

Thank The Lord

General, Internet/Website

I have my computer back! Do you realise how much I have missed the blessed thing!? *sigh* I’ve spent the last hour and half reinstalling everything since it had to be wiped clean. I’ve still not done everything as I’ve been concentrating on trying to remember all my bookmarks. I’m not having much luck right now. Up to now I’ve installed FireFox (the very first thing I did) and all the addons, iTunes which doesn’t seem to like me very much and I’ve tried to install Windows Live Messenger twice but its not having it. I really want to carry on with it but I’ve sent Alex to bed as he was falling asleep in front of GTA with promise that I will be there by 9.30PM to spend some time with him and its twenty-five past now. I have lots to blog about from today but it’ll have to wait until tomorrow. I’m so happy I have my computer back!

Well Then!

Meghan

Because I’m so lovely and everything I decided to come offline and get Meghan’s little table and chairs out and invite her to draw with me. I told her to draw Daddy a picture and I was drawing a picture myself. Next thing I know, she’s got up and she dragged the table across the living room floor! I now have a huge line through my picture where I was busy drawing. Oh well. It was nice while it lasted.

To Do List

House

I’ve just cleared the living room floor so I could hoover it and I’ve got the hoover out and its just doing fuck all. The suction had almost gone and its taken me ten minutes to just do under the chairs. I’ve asked my mum to bring hers round later so I can get it done. We’re gonna have to get some money together from somewhere in the next couple of months and buy a new one. I’ve wanted a Dyson for a while anyway so nows a good time as any. I could just brush the floor – since we have laminate flooring – but it looks loads better hoovered. Brushing the floor never gets it all up.

Anyway, during me getting frustrated with the hoover and getting on here, I’ve realised how much of the house really does need doing. I’m going to make a list of things to do and cross them out as they’re done. I’m going to split it off into parts in each room so it doesn’t look like that much to do (in other words so I get more done!). I’ve asked my mum to have Meghan on Saturday for me so I have about three hours to clean. I’ll probably get most of it done then.

Living Room

- Hoover and mop the floor
- Dust everything
- Tidy computer desk
- Organise bookcase
- Sort through Meghan’s toys and get rid of stuff she doesn’t play with

Kitchen

- Give everywhere a wipe down
- Clean the fridge
- Brush and mop the floor

Hall, Stairs and Landing

- Hoover
- Tidy the crap on the landing

My Bedroom

- Put clothes away
- Move bedroom round
- Hoover
- Get rid of all my clothes that I don’t want anymore
- Sort the wardrobe out

Bathroom

- Do everything!

Thats it I think. Meghan’s rooms fine and I don’t do Emelye’s room, thats her job. Wish me luck, haha!

Sex and the City (No Spoilers I Promise!)

Films

Today I went to the first showing (at my cinema) of Sex and the City. Thankfully we, myself and Amy got what we wanted by going so early – it was empty. My thoughts on the film? I LOVED IT! It was one huge, two and a half hour long episode and whats better than that? I almost cried three times and did once. Carrie annoyed me a bit about half way through the film but I don’t know how else she should have reacted really. It just started to annoy me. Even though I said it was like one huge episode, it wasn’t in the sense that it was written like an actual film which is great. It had a beginning, which flashed back to the episodes and then it had a definite ending like a film should have. I really want to go and see it again and I think I might sometime next month once things have calmed down. I mean even this morning, the 8.30PM showing tonight was fully booked up.

Up And Down

Family, Films, Shopping

Last night I spoke to Alex and I said I would go to town on my own this morning to get some stuff done – money paid into my bank, shopping done, Starbucks bought. When Alex got up, he decided he wanted to come too, which meant Emelye and Meghan would be coming too. I know this sounds terrible – *smacks hand* bad mother! – but I really wanted to go on my own. I just wanted some time to me but I couldn’t say no as that would have been rather selfish. We started off well – more money in the bank than we thought so we went for a meal. After the meal, I went to put the cash in my bank and then we had a bit of a wander around the game shops for Grand Theft Auto IV for the Xbox360. Emelye decided in her little head that because we were going in a game shop, that we were buying her a DS game. She went up to the till in Gamestation, asked to see if they had a game in she wanted and then came over to me and Alex to ask if she could have it. I was seriously shocked. I had a pretty big go at her to be honest, for being so cheeky and expecting things. A couple of minutes later, in two separate shops, she asked for a magazine and another DS game. Anyway, after all that was sorted out, we found GTA in a shop for £7 cheaper than anywhere else so Alex bought it. He’s wanted it since January when he first saw the release date so its not like it was just something he’d decided to get today. He’s playing it now next to me and he’s been on it for around two hours. At least all this blogging between here and Reading Robot is keeping me busy.

Oh and I didn’t get my Starbucks… I’m rather disappointed.

Tomorrow I’m off to watch Sex and the City at the first showing, 11.05AM. I’m really excited. I wasn’t going to go because of money but I thought, sod it. I want to go and I always go and see movies that I really want to see on the first showing or at least the first couple of days. I’ve done it with all the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Golden Compass (worst £7 ever spent) and a few others. I plan to do it with Hellboy 2 and the next Harry Potter. I hope its as good as the TV series. I almost bought some of the series today as they were selling them at under £13 each. Thankfully I stopped myself.

Online Pharmacy

Sponsored

I really need to go and put my repeat prescription in for my pill tomorrow. I’m on the last couple of days on my last packet and I’m really one for leaving it last minute. Its terrible really. I need to start taking my repeat in the first week I start my packet so I’m not rushing around on the last week to get it sorted. One thing I hate about getting prescriptions is waiting. The pharmacy is usually very busy and there’s no chairs left me to sit down on. What would be great is being able to buy online and have it delivered to my door. There’s a website online that sells prescription drugs – magic online pharmacy – legally. They are a US licensed pharmacy who make it easy for you to get your prescriptions. Just pick the drug you need, fill out a quick questionnaire and send your order. From there, their physicians will review your order and issue your prescription. You will receive your order via FedEx Next Day delivery. Getting your prescriptions couldn’t be easier!

Got A Bit Giddy

Photography, Shopping

Yesterday, after I bought my new Micro SD memory card, I found a £15 voucher than ebay had given me. I read through all the terms to make sure it wasn’t a big con and it seemed okay so I went looking for that lens I have been wanting for ages – the Canon 50mm f/1.8. I found one for the total price of £20 with only £5 postage and I got very giddy and almost bought it. I then thought to look at it a little bit more before I committed to buying. Its a good job I did, as it was a 35mm lens, not a digital lens. That really burst my bubble a bit. It burst even more than I looked at the digital lens that I wanted and it was £30 more expensive.

I’ll get that lens one day.
