On Sunday I am finally doing my first paid photography job. I’m really pleased about it. Its some promotional shots for a band and I can’t wait to do it. I’m not getting paid a lot but its half the money towards a cheap lens that I have been wanting. Lets hope this is the start of something.
Alex has been off since yesterday and its nice to finally spend the day with him. Hes been working a lot of overtime this month. Lets hope it pays off. I’ve been applying for retail jobs over the past week. I applied for three last week and two yesterday. I hope something comes of one of them. One of them from yesterday looks promising. I handed my CV into the girl at the desk and she asked me quite a few questions about what days I could work and then as I left she shouted the manager over and I saw him looking at my CV. Its quite a good place to work too so hopefully I get at least an interview. I’m only looking for part-time to begin with. I don’t think I could leave Meghan for 40 hours a week at the moment. I know Alex does it but I have been with her 24/7 for the past sixteen months.

I’ve just dragged myself away from WoW to blog about how much I’m not getting into it. Haha. I do really like it and I look forward to having half an hour to play it but I’m honestly not enjoying it as much as I would like to. I’ve only just started though so I should really give it some more time. I have a level 4 Night Elf Druid and a level 2 Tauren Hunter. I couldn’t decide which ‘side’ I wanted to be on so I have one of each for now. I’m having more fun with my elf right now but I’ve hardly played with the other. I’m still a bit lost with it all at the moment. I’m learning as I go on because I’m way too lazy to be bothered reading the manual.
Anyway, Collateral is starting any minute and I haven’t seen it for ages so I really want to watch it. I think I’m going to try and finish my scarf while I’m watching it.

I bought World of Warcraft today. At long last. I have wanted to play it for at least a year but I just haven’t. And it seems it going to be another year before I bloody play it! It took a good half hour to install then I’ve waiting two hours for it download updates and its just downloading update after update, after update. I JUST WANT TO PLAY IT! I’ll be back once I’ve actually had a go.

This morning me and Meghan went to Tumble Tots. I have been saying for months that I want to take her and I hadn’t done anything about it. Until yesterday when I was phoning lots of different people up and thought I might as well ring up about that while I’m at it. It starts at 10.20AM and its for about forty minutes. Meghan really enjoyed herself. She didn’t really use any of the equipment, she spent most of her time running around and dragging me with her. She was fine with the other kids and at one point she sat on the see-saw with a little boy. They have song time twice but she wouldn’t sit with me for that, she wanted to keep running around and climbing on things so we missed a lot of that. I’m going to start taking her every week from now on. I think once she gets used to going, she’ll start climbing on the equipment and getting more confident with it. I really enjoyed it too. Its nice to do something that Meghan wants to do for once. Every time we go anyway its because I want to, or Alex wants to. Once the weather gets nicer I’m going to start taking her swimming too. I’d just take her now but I don’t have a car so I don’t want to be waiting around in the cold for a bus with us both just getting out of the hot pool.

Alex and I are currently looking for somewhere else to live. We’re not very happy with where we are right now which includes the space and the state of the house. We have had no proper heating now for about three weeks but its been off completely for around five days. Upstairs works when it feels like it and we constantly have hot water but downstairs doesn’t work at all. The landlords son came round yesterday with heaters for us but thats not really the point is it? He’s got a plumber coming out tomorrow to fix it and do a full check on all the gas appliances. I recently found out that the landlord is supposed to do a yearly check on every gas appliance in the house. In our case, the boiler and the gas fire. This is by law. We haven’t had one since we moved in in December 2005. Anyway, a new house is it. We have four houses we would like to view, one that is booked for Thursday afternoon. That one is out of our current area which is quite scary but a change might be a good thing. There are two that I’d absolutely love but I think one is going to be over budget. It has a separate dining room (we currently have a kitchen diner), three double bedrooms and an en-suite in the master room! I’m thinking we might be able to knock the price down as I know its been on the market for a while. Lets hope so.

Dear Meghan,
This afternoon I realised that you had cut another tooth; the bottom on the left. That means you now have seven teeth. You’ve always been a bit behind other babies with the teeth but you seem to be catching up. No wonder you’ve been a bit whingy the last week or so.
Your doing a lot of repeating recently. When you watch TV, you’ve started to try and copy what they are saying. When I’m on the phone, you copy what I am saying – which by the way is very annoying. You can count up to three. At first I thought you just thought they were new words but you actually understand what they mean. Its great to see you learning so much. Your always asking me to read to you. Literally all day your bringing a book to me saying “story.” Your just like your mum in that sense and its great
.

Your new “thing” at the moment is Igglepiggle from In The Night Garden. Last month it was Elmo, this month is Igglepiggle. Or “Gap-o” as you call him. You still have your think for Elmo but I had to go and buy you an Igglepiggle toy because you wouldn’t shut up about him. I bet I looked like a right single mother walking into Woolworths with all my change so I could get you this toy. You sleep with him every night now along with Dora.
Your a very happy little girl but you have a right temper on you. You’ve started to throw things, along with yourself, on the floor when you don’t get what you want. You also ask for food constantly. At least you’ll eat fruit and breadsticks with houmous rather than just eating junk food all the time. I’m actually running out of food to give you though. I’m sure I’ll think of something.
I don’t know what else to say about this month. Your just a clever, mainly happy little girl and I’m really enjoying the time I have with you now since I’m having to start looking for work. I’ll really miss you when I go back.
Love, Mummy

I bought a 200GB external hard drive at the beginning of the week and it came yesterday. I spent about an hour moving a lot of stuff on to it. I have been meaning to buy one for a while but what made my get it this week is because I had less than 1GB of memory left on my computer. After moving just my photo’s, I now have 18GB of space left. Just the photo’s of Meghan were about 9GBs. I think I’m going to back everything up on disk too as I’m more worried about the hard drive crashing than I am the computer. I organised my desk drawer too yesterday while I was waiting for everything to move over and I found the receipt for my computer. Can you believe I’ve had it for three and a half years already? I don’t think I’ve ever had a computer for that long before I bought a new one! I had money when I lived at home though so I could get one whenever I felt like it. I would like a new computer but I’m happy with this for now. I never have any problems with it (fingers crossed) and I really enjoy using it.
Anyway, after making all that space on the computer, I’m now running a defragment on it. I also plan on moving all my music over to the hard drive tonight and uninstalling all the programs I never use anymore. Its something I have been meaning to do for a long time but at least I’m getting it done now.

I had a lovely time last night. We went to the Olive Press for the meal which is where I went with Aimee last month. I had something different this time and it was so nice. I has pasta with chargrilled chicken in a mushroom and pesto sauce. I got quite drunk which was rather funny. When I got in bed, I was looking at Alex who was stood still yet me was moving back and forth. Haha. Anyway, we had a really nice time and it was a chance for us to have a good chat. Being drunk helped me get some things off my chest that I’ve been wanting to say for a while but not had the confidence to. Its a shame it will probably be our last night out for a long time as our money situation at the moment is not good.

I actually changed my theme! I have been in love with that previous theme for a long time but I found this last night and I really like it. I changed the banner to something of my own because I didn’t like the other one. Anyway, I hope you like it!
Alex and I are going out tonight. We haven’t decided where we are going yet. We were originally going into Manchester but we don’t really have the cash and the last train home is at 11.20PM and the train station is a 15 minute walk from where we are going. We are getting sick of Warrington and its rubbish bars and the same restaurants. I would love to go to Manchester but we would only get about three hours out which is just enough time to eat and thats it. We’ll see. We might just end up going to Manchester for a while and then coming back to Warrington after the meal. I’d love to go to the Hard Rock Cafe which is where we are thinking of going. I’ve only ever been in for a drink and I’d love to go for a meal there.

Tonight I plan on not coming online at all once Meghan’s gone to bed. All I do all day is check the internet every twenty minutes or so to see if anything new has happened. Then I spend about three hours at night going round in circles checking message boards, Livejournal and Flickr for updates. If I actually did something constructive online then I wouldn’t be bothered but I’m literally sat here doing what I’ve been doing all day. So night, after I’ve put Meghan to bed, I’ll check everything just the once and then turn the computer off. Alex is going to bed as soon as he gets in from work because he’s really tired. I’m not surprised, he’s worked every day since Wednesday apart from Sunday. He’s working tomorrow and then he’s off until Monday apart from Friday as they have asked him to go in and its extra money for us if he does it. Anyway, instead of going online, I’m going to catch up on my penpal letters as I have about six/seven letters waiting to be replied to and do some more of my scarf. The TV is good tonight too so that helps
.
I’ve been to town with Meghan this morning. She had one nappy left so I thought I’d better go and get some! I got some other bits and pieces that I needed to get too and I also bought loads of fruit. It look so nice. I’m really bad for snacking on crisps and chocolate after about 8PM so since I now have all this lovely fruit in, I might actually eat that instead. Meghan has her doctors appointment in less than an hour. She’s been up since 8AM and considering most days she doesn’t wake up until 9/10AM, she’s really tired. I just hope I can keep her wake enough to get her there and back so I can then put her to bed.
